The HDM Steering Lock is specifically designed for Champ Karts where there quick release nut is already welded onto the steering column. 

To install, set your steering to dead center. Bolt the two piece lock together so it clamps onto the 5/8" steering shaft. Then use a center punch through the middle hole on the steering lock to make a mark on the column support block. Turn the steering hard left or hard right and drill a hole using a 3/16" (0.1875) into the support block. This hole diameter will work good for the 3/16" lock-pin. If you prefer a looser fit, you can use a #12 (0.189") drill bit. 

An extra cable ferrule is supplied with this product so you can attach the pin at your desired location.
